As Seen in Belize
After spending the Fall of 2016 in the Cayo District, I became determined to learn as much about the country as possible. The most western of the six districts, Cayo sits on the Guatemalan border and contains some of the country’s most impressive waterfalls, Mayan Ruins, restaurants, and holistic healing.
A peninsula on the southern tip of the Stann Creek district is a small fishing village, Placencia. Being within driving distance allows for trips inland and ease of transportation to and from peninsula.
Home to the famous San Pedro Town, Ambergris stretches close to the Mexican border to the north and offers world class scuba diving and sunsets. The country’s largest and most popular caye.
